The Pacifica Historical Society is opening the Pacifica Museum and Event Center for FOG FEST!!!!!!!!
After participating in the FOG FEST PARADE with mobile Ocean Shore Rail Car #1409 and Surfing exhibits, members of the PHS will open two exhibits at the Little Brown Church, 1850 Francisco Blvd--just one block east of the parade route at the corner of Salada and Francisco Blvd . New Media 101 will be held Saturday, September 14th at 10:30am
We are very excited to bring back our New Media 101 workshop again this month. Highly successful and in such a big demand from our community, we have decided to hold this workshop again. In this workshop, students will learn how to navigate through our website and learn the ins and outs of utilizing our site to their advantage.
The first part of our workshop will focus on becoming more comfortable within PCT's website. Students will get a tour of the new features that we have available on our new site. This includes finding our Production Calendar, Events Page, Blog Page, Video On Demand, Live Online Streaming via Justin.TV, Program Guide, and personalizing their own pages.
We also will be learning how to effectively use our blogs to reach out to your target audience. Students will learn how to upload pictures and video clips to our site to enhance and make their blogs more enticing. Also, we will learn meta-tagging and how to optimize search engine techniques.
One of my main goals for my students would be that they learn how to effectively get their message across to the community. A big part of what we would like to accomplish here at Pacific Coast TV is creating stronger ties within our ever expanding community. We would like to bring Pacifica and Pescadero closer together by supporting community events - this is where our website comes in. PacificCoast.tv was created so that people of our communities can connect with each other in one central place; we will be able to see events and other happenings within our community as well as our neighbors'.
I hope to see even more eager faces at my next workshop. =)

New Spotlight Episode Featuring Cara Allen and Jason Brock!
Spotlight host, Kathy Holly brings us another exciting episode. This time Kathy features two amazing artists who have sparkling personalities as well as amazing vocals:
Ms Cara Allen is a long time jazz vocalist who has traveled the world, singing in various places from the local jazz clubs in San Francisco, to jazzy underground taverns in Paris, France.
Kathy's second guest is Jason Brock who was recently on Simon Cowell's X-Factor! He tells Kathy what it was like to stand in front of a panel of judges on national television. Jason also shares with Kathy how he began his singing career and the events that led him to audition for X-Factor.
Kathy shines a bright light on these two guests and also includes an audio spot where the two singers both show us what they got. Cara and Jason both brought their A game!

Hooray!! The talented Ani Kalafian and Monika Chan have done it again!
The two co-hosts are back in the studio again and brought you another new and exciting episode of Pac Coast Life. This episode features coverage of the recent, Pescadero Arts and Fun Festival that was held on August 17 -18th, and the Kahuna Kapuna Surf Competition that was held right here in Pacifica.
Ani and Monika highlight some of the musical events, crafts, vendors and patrons that were in Pescadero soaking up the sun and checking out the art. Definitely some fun things happening down the coastside!
The Kahuna Kapuna is a surf competition that showcases the 40+ age group held right next to our station in Linda Mar! The seasoned surfers show us that they still have what it takes to swim out there and hang ten. Age is nothing but a number.
