Just moved to Pacifica from my hometown Monterey, and I've been poking around online to pick up on some of the local culture. Turns out, foggy towns foster some serious love for vintage machinery!
At first I thought I was stumbling across another classic car show, but labeling the Pacific Coast Dream Machines a "car show" is a massive undersell. This collection of badass tinkerers and their souped up contraptions makes the Carmel-by-the-Sea Concours pale in comparison.
Really unbelievable stuff, definitely a must for anyone who geeks out over planes, trains, and automobiles. Throw in the live jazz, and I'm not sure why you'd miss it. Can't wait to check it out next April!
KEVIN O'SHEA ON PCT AUCTION THIS WEEKEND!
Commonly described as clever, absurd, awkward but in a funny way and too smart for his own good, Kevin O’Shea has been on the Independent Film Channel and ComedyCentral.com. He is a favorite of comedy festivals such as The SF SketchFest and the Bridgetown Comedy Festival.
Now Kevin brings his considerable talent back to his home (He's from Montara) for the Red Carpet TV Auction on PCT This weekend. (GO HERE FOR DETAILS)...or hell, if you are on our site just Click the LIVE STREAM button to the right.
In addition, PCT is bringing coast-side rockabilly legend, DAVE CRIMMEN, comedian JOE GORMAN, Actress/Model FAN PEI and performances from bay area bands BAYONICS and the Ozzy Osbourne tribute band, LOS BLIZZARDOS!

Pacific Coast TV highlights different events and organizations located in the coast side in order to bring awareness to local issues and ideas.
The Coastside Youth Council (CYC), a program through the Youth Leadership Institute, is a group of youth leaders in Half Moon Bay between the ages of 15-20 who organize community activities for other youth.
One of their goals is to prevent underage drinking and to reduce the messages of alcohol in the Coastside area. They've researched local convenience stores in the area as well as the famous HMB Pumpkin Festival to bring awareness to underage drinking as well as alcoholism in their community. They also advocate for smoke free communities, especially in housing for low income families.
They give students opportunities to become leaders in their community and gain experience that will help them apply to college and in all their future endeavors.
For youth interested in joining, they meet
every Friday from 4-6pm at the
Ted Adcock Community Center, 535 Kelly Avenue Half Moon Bay, CA 94019.
They also have paid internship opportunities. Please contact Montzerrat Garcia at mbedolla@yli.org or (714) 579-9070 for more information.
Youth Leadership Institute (YLI) has been an innovative leader in the field of youth development for over 20 years, working in many capacities—from advocating for national policy change, to organizing on a community level. YLI has served San Mateo County in partnership with foundations, community organizations, and schools with a focus in building strong and healthy communities.

Bob Chandler is a rare personality. He is a professional historian. For over three decades he lead Wells Fargo in the discovery and preservation of the company’s rich history. In the process, he has uncovered much of the fabric of the Old West. He will share some of the chapters of history within Wells Fargo – their famous stagecoach service, their place in California’s gold rush, and development of its banking business. Dr. Chandler writes and speaks with authority on such diverse historical subjects as early express transport, banking, politics, civil rights, stamp collecting, and more.
Chandler, Wells Fargo Bank’s senior research historian for 32 years, will elucidate why and how Wells Fargo did business. Using displayed historical documents, the speaker will illustrate the ways Wells Fargo performed its Banking, Express, Letter Express, and Stagecoaching activities. He reports that he will be bringing a mini-museum along for the meeting.
As wife Susan says, “He finds a ‘leaf’ and then must determine where it fits on the tree of history.” His San Francisco Lithographer: African American Artist Grafton Tyler Brown (2014) illustrates his deductive method. He has also written a short history of California, the Arcadia series volume on Wells Fargo, and more than 60 articles on Gold Rush, Civil War California, and early western transportation. Exceedingly serious, Bob is an X-Noble Grand Humbug of the Ancient and Honorable Order of E Clampus Vitus. His Mother's family is from the Madeira Islands (by way of Hawaii) making Bob half-Portuguese – sharing some of the roots of our Coastside community.
Want to know more? Watch Bob Chandler as he leads discussion all about the history of Wells Fargo.

The Soundwaves Christmas special is finally here! Soundwaves is an annual music-based variety fundraiser that encourages viewers to contribute to local non-profits and charities. This special fundraiser helps the viewer donate to local charities to help benefit the community! The energy of the show is fast and entertaining, but the message is simple: spend less money on needless holiday gifts and give that money to someone who truly needs it.
Here’s how it works: viewers are directed to soundwaveschristmas.com, where they can choose a geographical area and make a contribution. No money is collected by the creators of the show or the administrators of the web site. Every link to a charity connects directly to the volunteer or donation page of that charity’s website.
You can watch the premiere on Comcast Channel 26/27 Coastside
