In it's sixth year, Half Moon Bay Shakespeare Company will present Romeo y Julieta, set in 1840s Monterey, Alta California. The production is bilingual with some Spanish.
Romeo y Julieta tells Shakespeare's timeless tale of two star-crossed lovers who must battle old family grudges to find love. Cast as Romeo, Myles Romo is a recent graduate of Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts. As Julieta, Ella Ruth Francis is also a graduate of PCPA. Cast as the Nurse, Debbie Lynn Carriger is a graduate of the American Conservatory Theatre Advanced Actor Training Program and a resident of San Francisco. Also, a graduate of PCPA Actor Training Program, Delaney Brumme is cast as Mercutio HMB Shakespeare continues to grow and create classic theatre that is both entertaining and educational. With continued support from the community and the City of HMB, the Company moved into John L. Carter Memorial Park for its performances three years ago after two years of performances at Cameron's Pub and Restaurant.

Performances are Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Labor Day Weekend, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Showtimes are Friday and Saturday at 7:00 PM, Sunday matinees at 2:00 PM.
Labor Day Weekend schedule: Sunday at 7:00, Monday at 2:00 PM.
Gates open at 6:00 PM and 1:00 PM on Sunday.
Ticket prices are: $25 for Adults, $20 for Seniors and Students, Children 12 and under Free.
Tickets are good for any performance.
Tickets are held at the door at will call. We do not mail.
Tickets are also available at Coastside Books in HMB and at the door.
We do not accept debit or credit cards at the door in Carter Park.
Dress warmly for the evening performances. Audience is in full sun for the matinee. Please bring a low back beach chair or blanket for seating up front and camp chairs to the rear. Hay bales are available at the very rear of the seating area.
