What is it?

Come join AAUW Pacifica Branch members on April 13th for an informative and inspiring presentation by speaker Roy Earnest, MSW, about the Pacifica Age-Friendly Community Initiative. 

Age Friendly Community (AFC) initiatives are being developed in many cities, towns and regions throughout the United States. Come learn all about Pacifica's AFC Initiative, six projects to enhance the livability of Pacifica for older residents, as well as those of all ages, and what you can do to help them. 

Who?

Roy Earnest who is a long time gerontological  social worker and program administrator. He has worked in a wide variety of community-based nonprofit senior services that were designed to help older adults remain in their homes. His broad range of experience has given him in-depth perspective on the continuum of services for older adults in the United States. Mr. Ernest. Has assisted several communities in the San Mateo County including Pacifica, and Half Moon Bay, to become certified as, "Age Friendly Communities."
