Celebrating Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month with PCT

May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. A time to recognize, celebrate, and honor the rich cultures, traditions, histories, and contributions of Asian American and Pacific Islander communities across the United States and here on the Coastside.

At Pacific Coast Television (PCT), we believe storytelling has the power to connect communities and amplify diverse voices. Throughout the month, we celebrate the creativity, resilience, and impact of AAPI individuals whose stories continue to shape our local communities and beyond.

From art and culture to journalism, education, public service, and community leadership, AAPI voices are an essential part of the Bay Area's fabric. This month serves as an opportunity not only to celebrate achievements but also to reflect on the importance of representation, inclusion, and cultural understanding.

We encourage our community to support local AAPI-owned businesses, attend cultural events, learn about AAPI history, and continue uplifting the stories that deserve to be heard.

From all of us at PCT, Happy Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month! 🌺

Last month PCT covered the Stop AAPI Hate March in Pacifica. PCT interviewed organizer Mary Bier & attendees.
