Come celebrate Pigeon Point Lighthouse’s 149th anniversary! Tied for the tallest tower on the West Coast, this 115-foot tall structure has been guiding ships along California's treacherous coast since it was first lit on November 15, 1872.
Our celebration includes activities for the whole family with tours of the base of the lighthouse tower, information booths, music, children’s crafts and activities, and a local maritime author. The original first order Fresnel lens from the tower will be lit in its current location in the Fog Signal Building from 5 to 7pm.
This is a free event. For more information, call (650) 879-2120. This event was made possible by Coastside State Parks Association and California State Parks.
