Roy Earnest is a long-time gerontological social worker and program administrator who has worked in a wide variety of community-based nonprofit senior services that were designed to help older adults remain in their homes.
Earnest will be discussing:
- What the age-friendly initiative is
- Why did the WHO (World Health Organization) become interested in age-friendly communities?
- What are the top 4 livability challenges that older adults face on the Coastside?
- What does the Coastside Age-Friendly Initiative hope to accomplish within the next 5 years?
- An age-friendly initiative is a movement aimed at making our community more inclusive, accessible, and supportive for older adults.
