The Senior Exhibitions are a celebration and culmination of achievement for graduating seniors at Oceana High School. The exhibitions demonstrate each student’s ability to engage in serious thought and to use critical skills in researching and communicating knowledge on a subject of their choice. Students select a topic for investigation and study it in depth over the course of the school year. They present the results of their research in a written paper and during an oral presentation at the end of the year. Their oral presentations are before an audience of students, family and friends, with a faculty member and a community volunteer serving as evaluators.
On Exhibition Day, March 30th, community evaluators attend the student’s presentation and then confer with a faculty member to evaluate the presentation.
