Second Saturday at Art Space 🎨

An Afternoon of Clay, Creativity, and Community

Looking for a relaxed, creative way to spend your Saturday? Join us at Art Space on the Coast for Second Saturday—an easygoing afternoon where art, community, and hands-on making come together. Our studio doors are open for you to wander, observe artists at work, and experience the calming rhythm of creativity in real time. Whether you’re a seasoned maker or simply curious, Second Saturday welcomes everyone. All ages are invited to slow down, get inspired, and enjoy art right where it’s made.

March Feature: Spiral Bowls in Clay

This March, we’re getting our hands dirty—in the best way possible. Second Saturday will focus on creating beautiful spiral bowls using hand-built clay techniques. Participants will roll coils of clay, shape them into a bowl, and smooth the interior surface to create a striking contrast: a simple, polished inside paired with a richly textured exterior. The result is a piece that feels both organic and thoughtfully designed.

Once your bowl is complete, Art Space on the Coast will take care of the finishing process. Each piece will be fired to bisque, glazed, and fired again, resulting in a durable, food-safe bowl you can use and enjoy at home.

Details & Cost

The cost is $44, which includes one pound of clay—enough to create as many small dishes or bowls as you like. All tools, glazing, and both firings are included, so you can focus entirely on the experience of making.

Come Make Something Meaningful

Second Saturday isn’t just about the finished piece—it’s about the process, the atmosphere, and the joy of creating alongside others. Bring a friend, bring your family, or come solo and meet fellow art lovers. You’ll leave with something handmade, one-of-a-kind, and full of memories.

We can’t wait to create with you. ✨
