The City of Half Moon Bay is hosting two scoping meetings regarding the Main Street Bridge Project environmental review process. The City and the California Department of Transportation are proceeding with an environmental review under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), which will entail the preparation of a joint Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Assessment (EIR/EA) to identify project impacts and associated mitigation measures.

The upcoming scoping meetings are part of the public participation process associated with NEPA/CEQA and will solicit public comment on the scope and content of information to be included in the EIR/EA.

To ensure that the issues most important to residents, business owners, public agencies and other involved parties are addressed in the environmental review process, the City will collect public input at the two scoping meetings.
