This hike is designed for families with children five years of age and older and is not suitable for jogging strollers. We will connect the Chickadee and Redwood nature trails for a distance of about 2 miles. Along the way, we be on the look out for banana slugs and turret spider nests, giant redwood trees and woodrat nests and rattlesnake grass. This is a great hike to learn about the basics of the mixed redwood forest.

The hike will take about two hours. We will meet at 2pm at the parking lot just inside the entrance kiosk. There is a $6 parking fee. Rain or shine.
