Loosely translated from Hawaiian, "Kahuna Kupuna" means "Big Chief Wise Elder," a fitting name for the only amateur surf contest in the world specifically designed for surfers aged 40 and over.
Catch some waves on Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM at Linda Mar Beach in Pacifica, CA, for the 24th Annual Kahuna Kupuna. This unique event features separate divisions for men and women up to age 80 and beyond, accommodating both longboard and shortboard surfers. Many contestants participate in multiple divisions, with the $90 contest fee covering all subdivisions.
