High Wind and Flood Watch warnings are in effect in the region beginning the Jan 4th through Jan 5, and rainy weather is predicted to continue into the coming weeks. It is expected the storm will bring extremely high winds and excessive rainfall, risk of landslides, difficulty traveling, widespread power outages, downed trees and power lines, street flooding and flooding of creeks.
Public Works, Fire, Police Department and other essential services staff are working to prepare for the storm and have increased staffing to assist in the coming days. Pacifica School District will have a minimum day Wednesday, be closed Thursday, and reopen Friday. Residents are advised to read the following information on what to expect and what precautions to take to keep themselves, their families, and their neighborhoods safe.
